Studio Sketches Recess Card

Phew, Friday already, where did the week go? It was my birthday at the beginning of the week, and, as it was also the Bank Holiday, I was really busy and did not have time to post anything!

Remember I said I had made a box full of recess cards? Well, here is another. ****Non-Stampin' Up products alert**** Those of a nervous disposition please look away now...............

I really like this little Stampin' Up! stamp set. It is one of the free Hostess Level 1 sets that you can earn for orders over £150, found in the Mini Catalogue. But, don't forget, this stamp set is only available until the end of this month, so if you want it you had better get your skates on......

I made a simple white recess card and added a square of Always Artichoke in the centre. The paper frame is from my stash, as is the greeting. I stamped the image onto a square of Whisper White with Close to Cocoa ink. With a Blender Pen I went over the image to 'drag' the colour around and added a very weak wash of Always Artichoke ink over the pears. I stamped the bowl of fruit, as before, onto a scrap of white and cut it out to pop it up on a dimensional.

Guess what my Hubby got me for my birthday (as well as books, books and more books (so I like to read!))? Money to spend in the new catalogue!!!! Only 27 days to go....................
