Simple Make and Take

I needed a simple Make 'N' Take for Thursday as there could be quite a few ladies coming to a party that my crafting friend Julie is holding at the craft group she goes to.
Fun and Fast Notes came to mind straight away as there are eight images and sentiments that I can divide between the ladies. They will each make virtually the same card, but with a different image - this also helps when demonstrating the card!!
The base card is Sage Shadow with a strip of designer paper from the Kaleidoscope collection. The image and sentiment is stamped using Basic Grey then coloured with So Saffron, Pretty in Pink and Creamy Caramel inks. I layered this on a piece of So Saffron cardstock and popped the whole thing up on dimensionals.
Hope they like it/them!!!

Itty Bitty Blooms Mother's Day card

After working so hard for my classes last week, I've had crafters block! Doing four classes in two days was a lot harder than I thought, but it was a huge success and everyone wants to come to the next one!

Back to the crafters block - I decided to just 'play' rather than try to make anything, so I got out a colour I very rarely use, Bravo Burgundy. On my desk was my Big Shot and embossing folders, Whisper White and a couple of scraps of Kaleidoscope DSP left over from my classes. This is the result................

I have made it as a Mother's Day card and actually think it is rather cute!!

Really Nervous!!!!

My first Stampin' Up! workshops start today and over the next two days I have fifteen crafters coming to create a gorgeous project. I hope they all have a great time and I don't make too many mistakes!! Here is one of the bags they can choose to make.

Wish me luck and hope I won't be cowering in a corner eating all the chocolate biscuits!

Kaleidoscope Handbag

This is my take on a bag I saw on Becky Roberts' blog, Inking Idaho, and it is sooo cute! I don't have the Chocolate Chip stitched ribbon so used cardstock instead and added faux stitching with a white gel pen!

Love it!!

Kaleidoscope mirror

I have had this Ikea 99p mirror for ages, just waiting ................
When I saw this gorgeous peacock image in the Kaleidoscope DSP range I knew I had to use it on the mirror.
I stuck the background paper (amazed that my measuring and cutting were spot on!!) to the mirror frame with sticky strip and the peacock and other elements were attached with Tombow adhesive. Going to look at it for a while before deciding whether to go the Glitter/Crystal Effects route!! Any advice welcome.........
