Happy Baby Girl Journal

I love this pram image from Fun and Fast Notes stamp set and with the baby's face from All in the Family stamp set it is simply gorgeous!!
I used a piece of Pretty in Pint cardstock on which I had stamped the Polka Dot background stamp in Pretty in Pink ink. The same ink was used to stamp the pram image on the Whisper White frame as a background. The square I cut from the centre of the frame I used to stamp my main image on and used the 'can't live without' Stamp-A-Ma-Jig to get the baby's face in the right place. The sentiment is from Fun and Fast Notes too. To finish off I tied a few knots of Pretty in Pink striped grosgrain ribbon on the wires of the journal.

Simple Balloon card

Oooohhhh love these colours, Basic Grey, Tempting Turquoise and Pink Passion!!!
A really quick and easy card to make that looks really cute. Just change the colours for a male card (or not!!).
I used the Scallop Edge punch and then with a white gel pen I added dots on the scallops. A knot of Basic Grey taffeta ribbon finished it off.

Julie's Happy Moments make and take - part 2

This is another version of Julie's make and take, this time using the parcels from the Happy Moments free Sale-A-Bration stamp set - contact me for more details.
I used this card as my last demonstration at Julie's party and then let the ladies have a go. I had already prepared the card and papers so that all the ladies had to do was to choose which image from the set they wanted to use and then assemble the card. It was a huge success - many thanks girls!!

Choo Choo card and tag

I love this stamp set, it is so much fun!! Of course if you have the Choo Choo stamp set, you HAVE GOT to have the Right on Track standard wheel don't you?

I used Real Red, Brilliant Blue and Green Galore for the train and then stamped again in Basic Black, cut out the wheels and glued them onto the coloured train. The train is mounted on the track using dimensionals. The steam is stamped in Basic Grey. I used the Round Tab punch with Green Galore for the top of the tag and as an embellishment on the card. The sentiments are from the free Sale-A-Bration set Happy Moments.

Super-cute!!!

Julie's Happy Moments make and take

OK, so this is a total CASE from Chic 'n' Scratch's Angie Juda, but I thought it was the perfect card for a make and take at my lovely friend Julie's workshop. As there were a few ladies who did no crafting at all I wanted something simple but pretty.
We used Kraft cardstock for the card base, Mellow Moss designer paper, cardstock and ribbon, Happy Moments and Whimsical Words stamp sets, Blush Blossom, Pale Plum and Barely Banana inks to colour the image. A hole was punched at the side of the image and Mellow Moss Taffeta ribbon tied in a knot. Holes were punched around the image using the Mat Pack to add a little detail.
All the ladies were really pleased with what they made and really supported Julie who ended up with 3 free stamp sets and £40 to spend in the Stampin' Up! catalogue!! Oh, and ladies, how much wine did you drink after I left??

Queue Up candle

Love it, love it ..................

I wanted this stamp set just for this stamp. Mellow Moss grass and touches of Real Red, Barely Banana and Creamy Caramel - how cute is this??? Got to now make more of these candles with all the images from the Queue Up hostess stamp set!!

Kaleidoscope mirror

I have had this Ikea 99p mirror for ages, just waiting ................
When I saw this gorgeous peacock image in the Kaleidoscope DSP range I knew I had to use it on the mirror.
I stuck the background paper (amazed that my measuring and cutting were spot on!!) to the mirror frame with sticky strip and the peacock and other elements were attached with Tombow adhesive. Going to look at it for a while before deciding whether to go the Glitter/Crystal Effects route!! Any advice welcome.........

Holey Happy Moments

I made this card on the evening out at Helen's (my upline). I wasn't going to post it as it is not one of my favourites, but here it is anyway!

Helen watched me with great curiosity as I punched holes in a piece of Bashful Blue cardstock and this is how it turned out. I wished I'd thought about where to put the holes first as you can't see many of them. The image is from the free Happy Moments stamp set (contact me to find out how to get your hands on it!) and coloured using Bashful Blue and Close to Cocoa inks and Blender Pens. When I got home I added a piece of Basic Grey taffeta ribbon.

Fresh Cuts Stepped Up!

I was organising all the samples for my next party when I came across this little Fresh Cuts note that was done a while ago and I decided to use it to demonstrate 'Stepping Up'.

I used a Basic Black 14 cm square card and stamped the foliage along the edge in Whisper White, cut the back off the Fresh Notes, added a piece of Striped Grosgrain ribbon and popped it up on dimensionals. Voila!!

Good Neighbours apperture card

This is the second card I made with my upline, Helen. I really love this subtle colour combination of Mellow Moss, Bashful Blue, Basic Grey and Close to Cocoa. Again the stamp sets used were, the free Good Neighbours SAB set and the Polka Dot background stamp.

The mats behind the image were the squares I cut out of the centres of the Close to Cocoa base card and the Bashful Blue contrast card so nothing was wasted! A little Mellow Moss taffeta ribbon was tied around the edge and the small 'for you' sentiment was from another free SAB stamp set called Happy Moments tied around the ribbon with a little linen thread.

Happy Moments handbag

Wow!! Pink Passion and Basic Black, what more can you say?
I doodled a basic handbag template and cut it out from Pink Passion card. I wheeled across the flap with the Whimsy jumbo wheel and added highlights with a white gel pen. The black and white striped grosgrain ribbon was my inspiration for the whole project and looks amazing tied in a simple knot. The bird and cage image is from the free Happy Moments stamp set that is in the Sale-A-Bration range and punched out using the largest circle punch. Helen showed me how to create a scalloped edge by using the scalloped oval punch - will definitely be doing that again! The handle is a strip of Basic Black card.

Good Neighbours step card

I braved the slippery roads to go and do a bit of stamping with my upline, Helen. I took with me Mellow Moss, Basic Grey, Bashful Blue and Close to Cocoa card (and ink pads), the Polka Dot background stamp and the gorgeous Good Neighbours freebie Sale-A-Bration stamp set (contact me if you would like to find out how to get this set for FREE!!).

This is a card shape I love to use as it creates instant dimension. The house stamps from Good Neighbours were begging to be put on this style of card.

We had a great time ooohhhing and aaahhhing over each others creations, will post the others over the next few days!

Another Flower for all Seasons

Just a quick post to show yet more from the Flower for all Seasons stamp set. Not going to say too much about it as I will be doing something similar in one of the workshops I hold at my house!! We won't be making a box to put the cards in though......it will be a surprise!!!

A Flower for all Seasons

I just love this cute stamp set, it is so versatile.

I used Real Red, Mellow Moss, So Saffron and Close to Cocoa. The images were coloured using the ink pads and blender pens and punched out with the Scallop Circle punch - lovely!! The Polka Dot background stamp was used in........well, the backgrounds.........
Feels good to be crafting again!!!!!

Sorry!!

I am very sorry for the lack of posts but silly season continues.....

My little girl had a spell of going backwards and forwards to the local A&E after burning both feet (don't ask) just a couple of days before Christmas, hectic Christmas filled with snow, family, gas fire condemned, sister had to have her cat put to sleep Christmas day, daugher with her 'indoor' scooter, visits up North, visits down South, etc, etc......

Yippee New Year, filled with snow, family, still no gas fire, new floors being fitted so no washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher, (these at the moment are stored in my craft room so I cannot get in it) school closures, grumpy daughter, and me starved of craft and adult company, and to make matters even worse I've started my diet!!!!!!! Oh and husband announces working away trips for next few months - GET ME OUT OF HERE!!!!!

Phew................. anyway have lots of things planned when I can get into my craft room. Now where's the chocolate..........?
