Basic Grey Rose is a Rose

Even though I say this myself - isn't this gorgeous? This is one of the free stamp sets I chose for achieving my first Stampin' Start goal and I love it.

I chose Basic Grey for the card base and stamped the small flower outline from the Rose is a Rose set in Basic Grey ink to give a watermark effect. I then stamped the main flower images in Bashful Blue and Basic Grey using the two-step stamping technique with the help of my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig. The leaves were stamped with Mellow Moss and Always Artichoke, again using the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig. I cut the images out and layered them on Whisper White, popping some up on dimensionals. The corners looked a bit bare, so out came the Mat Pack and the Paper Piercer for a little bit of paper pricking in the corners. I then added layers of Bashful Blue and Mellow Moss, and added a knot of Basic Grey taffeta ribbon.

I will definitely be using this stamp set again!

Happy Baby Girl Journal

I love this pram image from Fun and Fast Notes stamp set and with the baby's face from All in the Family stamp set it is simply gorgeous!!
I used a piece of Pretty in Pint cardstock on which I had stamped the Polka Dot background stamp in Pretty in Pink ink. The same ink was used to stamp the pram image on the Whisper White frame as a background. The square I cut from the centre of the frame I used to stamp my main image on and used the 'can't live without' Stamp-A-Ma-Jig to get the baby's face in the right place. The sentiment is from Fun and Fast Notes too. To finish off I tied a few knots of Pretty in Pink striped grosgrain ribbon on the wires of the journal.
