A cute box from scrap!

Whilst making a Basic Black box to fit a pressie into, I got it completely wrong and the lid didn't fit.............but, did I throw the lid away? Of course not, I kept it! It has been in my craft room for a while and then when making another box and getting the measurements wrong (again!) this gave me the base!!!! Remember, never throw anything away.................

All I added was a bow of the gorgeous black and white striped grosgrain ribbon around the box base. For the top I added a couple of flowers from the Pretties Kit, with a Certainly Celery flower punched using the 5 Petal Punch, a circle of the ribbon and a Crystal brad from the Pretties Kit held it all together. The foliage is punched from Certainly Celery using the branch from the Bird punch.

Kraft Medallion

The inspiration for this card came from a friend's curtains!

I used a Kraft card base and stamped the wonderful Medallion background stamp on it in Whisper White craft ink. The stamp was used again with the same ink on a second piece of Kraft card. I then cut out the centre circle with a craft knife and trimmed the image to make a frame. I attached dimensionals on the back of the frame and matched the pattern up to the Medallion on the card base. In the centre I glued a flat-backed pearl from the Pretties kit and tied a knot of Kraft Taffeta ribbon around one side of the frame.

It's amazing where you get inspiration from!!!
