Another Crazy for Cupcakes card

I told you once I had made one I couldn't stop ..........

This card was made exactly the same way as the previous post, all I changed was the cardstock substituting Melon Mambo for Taken with Teal.

Isn't it cute?

Crazy for Cupcakes card

I found the inspiration for this card on the wonderful Jenny Moore's Stamping Moments blog. Where she used Bird on a Branch, I got one of my favourite sets out - Crazy for Cupcakes. The reason I like this set is because you can colour it in, you see I'm still a child at heart............
The base card is Melon Mambo and Basic Black. I cut off part of the front and replaced it with a piece of polka dot window sheet (from the excellent Night and Day speciality paper pack currently available in the Mini catalogue). Before attaching the Basic Black to the front of the card I used the Eyelet border punch along one edge. I then attached a piece of black gingham ribbon around the front.
The image is stamped in Basic Black ink and coloured using Melon Mambo ink and a blender pen. This was then popped up onto dimensionals.
Of course, after making one of these cards I couldn't stop ...................

Monochrome Demonstration Card

I am demo'ing this card today at a party. I wanted something quick and easy, and it also needed to show the versatility of the punches. Wanted to get the wheel in somewhere too!! I made one of these flowers a while back and think they look stunning and so easy to make.

The base card is a landscape A6 in Basic Black with a piece of black and white houndstooth paper from the Night and Day speciality paper pack (in the new Mini catalogue). I rolled the Watercolour Vine wheel in Basic Black ink onto Whisper White, layered this onto a strip of Basic Black and then tied a knot of white satin ribbon around before popping up on dimensionals. The sentiment was also stamped in Basic Black and punched out using the Word Window punch.

The flower is soooo easy to make. I punched six scallop circles from designer paper and one from Basic Black. The six designer paper circles were scrunched up twice, opened back out and then attached to the Basic Black scallop circle using a brad through the centres. I then scrunched up the scallop circles again covering the brad and to make it look like a flower. This was then attached to the card with Tombow.

Night and Day quilling

Oh yes, yes, more new papers from April's Mini Catalogue!! Have you got the message yet that I love everything in the upcoming new catalogue??

As I was making yesterday's card I thought about this new paper which is part of the Night & Day Speciality paper pack. What makes it a Speciality Pack? As well as the expected fantastic quality double sided papers, you also get two 12cm x 12cm sheets of black spotty printed window sheets (thick acetate)!!

I made this card the same way as the Vintage Vogue En Francais card, but instead of the black strip I used a die cut shape. The sentiment from Fun & Fast Notes was punched out using the Word Window punch and layered onto some Mellow Moss punched out using the Small Oval punch.

Another skewiff photo!!
