Bella Bleu Iris Folding-ish tag

I loved the Iris Folding-ish card I made a few days ago and decided to make a tag to go with it.

The shape of the tag and apperture is made using Nestabilities and the Iris Folding is as before.

Cute!!

Bella Bleu Iris Folding-ish card

This is Iris Folding in it's simplest form, but still very beautiful.
I used a 14cm square Kraft cardstock base and a Very Vanilla insert with a few strips of Bella Bleu designer paper as embellishment. The hole for the Iris Folding was created with a Nestability and a larger sized frame in Bordering Blue was also die cut. Working from the inside of the card, I lay the apperture at an angle over my gridpaper and followed the 1cm increments with strips of Bella Bleu designer paper, sticking them down with Snail adhesive as I went along. To cover the back I cut out a 13.5cm Kraft square and stuck it down with Sticky Strip. I wrapped a piece of Kraft taffeta ribbon around the Bordering Blue frame, tied a knot and glued a flat-backed pearl from the Pretties Kit over the middle. After stamping the sentiments, from Tiny Tags stamp set, and punching them out with the Tag punch, I tied them to the ribbon with a piece of Linen Thread. I punched out a butterfly and then stamped the vine pattern from Tiny Tags in Bordering Blue. To make the body and antennae of the butterfly, I simply wrapped some Linen Thread around it and left a couple of threads.

Bella Bleu B-Side book

So, I finished the card below and then inspiration struck again for this little book using the B-Side to the Bella Bleu papers.

The inside is 3 pieces of 10cm x 20cm Kraft cardstock, scored at 5cm and 15cm. These 5cm flaps are stuck together to make the 'pages'. A front Kraft card cover measuring 10cm x 28cm, scored at 7cm, 9cm, 19cm and 21 cm. The 2cm strips form the 'spines' of the book.

The book was decorated using Barely Banana cardstock, Kraft cardstock and Bella Bleu papers. The centre panel has more of the daisy flowers and faux stritched stems on it. I stamped a couple of labels with sentiments using one of the stamps from the Sale-A-Bration Vintage Labels set. Some So Saffron striped grosgrain ribbon ties the book together. I put another flower with faux stitched stems on the front.

Took me all afternoon - had to have a lie down afterwards!!

Bella Bleu B-Side card!

I wasn't too keen on the Barely Banana and Whisper White sides of the Bella Bleu designer papers, so I was determined to make something with it! The pack has sat on my desk for a few days until inspiration struck!!

The gentle, but fresh, colours made me feel spring-like, even though I sat watching it snow. I decided to take an idea from the little bag I made for the Stamp With Us challenge and do some faux stitching using my Mat Pack, Paper Piercer and white gel pen.

The base card is a standard A6 size using Kraft CS. I chose two complimentary paper designs and split them roughly 1/3 to 2/3 on the front of the card, a further complimentary paper strip was used to cover the join. On a piece of Kraft CS I drew a couple of stalks in pencil, then, using the pricking guide from the Mat Pack and a paper piercer, I pricked holes along the stalks. Using my white gel pen I created faux stitches in between the holes! I die cut some daisy flowers from Whisper White and Barely Banana, layered them with Crystal brads and stuck them at the top of the stalks. A knot of Whisper White grosgrain ribbon finished it off.

All products Stampin' Up! unless stated:
Card: Kraft, Whisper White and Barely Banana
Paper: Bella Bleu
Crystal Brads
Whisper White grosgrain ribbon
Mat Pack
Paper Piercer
Uni-Ball Signo white gel pen
Miscellaneous: Daisy flower die

Bella Bleu Silent Night easel card

I know, I know.... but I did warn you. Bella Bleu, Night of Navy and Kraft AGAIN!!!

I have had a picture of this card in my mind for a while so decided to pluck up courage and have a go. The gorgeous Silent Night was stamped in Bashful Blue on Whisper White then the sentiment was stamped in Night of Navy on vellum and attached over the church stamp using brads. Kraft CS was used for the base card and Bella Bleu DSP and Night of Navy used as accents. The scrumptious Kraft taffeta ribbon also found it's place!! The Merry Christmas sentiment is from Occasional Greetings.
I promise to try a different colour combination ....... honest!!

Bella Bleu Silent Night

I love this stamp set, so thanks to Janet for the loan!!
The base card is Night of Navy cardstock and the designer paper is Bella Bleu. I used the Eyelet border punch on a strip of Kraft.
I stamped the sentiment onto the base card in Night of Navy (although this does not show on the photo). The image is stamped in Night of Navy and a knot of Very Vanilla grosgrain finished it off.
This stamp set has now made it's way onto my wish list!!

Bella Bleu note card

I said you would be seeing this combination again, didn't I?? Love it, love it, love it!!

Bella Bleu DSP was used for the background and Scallop circle, on a Kraft card base. I punched a 1 3/8" circle of Very Vanilla for the centre of the Scallop circle, and a Eyelet border punched edge. The little butterfly was from Flight of a Butterfly stamped in Brocade Blue.

I think these little notecards are so cute, in fact think I am going to make all the school Christmas cards in this size as it is so easy.

Bella Bleu Tissue Box Cover

I can hear you all saying 'WHY?'. I don't know why I felt I had to do this, but here it is anyway! I sat at my craft table looking at a box of tissues thinking 'That box is awful - hmm, I wonder if I could cover it?'

I absolutely love these colours, Bella Bleu DSP, Kraft and Night of Navy cardstock and Night of Navy grosgrain ribbon. Had to used the Eyelet border punch again!! Think you might be seeing more of this combination!!
